Things are moving along!

Hi,
This is going to be a short update because, well, everything on our end has been moving along without any issues. The epoxy "blanks" (before they are shaped into a dice box) have been a blast to make. We're hoping to put together a beginning to end progression video of what it takes to create one of these dice boxes. If we can get this put together before the next update, we will share it in a special update. It's been a lot of fun seeing all of the color choices.
We've spoken to our dice maker; Valkyrie, and they assure us that we can expect to have all the dice in hand by the end of October. We've given them the order in which we would like the dice to be completed and asked them for delivery in batches so that way we can start shipping according to backer number and "early bird" status.
We still feel confident in saying that we expect shipping to begin before November, with all backers having their pledges by December.
If you're in or around the Dallas, Texas area November 15 - 19th, we will be at BGG.con at booth 316-318 along with Weathervane Games. Please come say hi.
We do plan on launching a dice tower Kickstarter on October 3rd. We are very excited about this launch for several reasons. One is because there is something for everyone at all price points. The other is that we are hoping to incorporate the use of our new laser. If you're interested in getting notified of the launch, here is the link:

Thank you all for your support, we really do feel like we are building a community around Ravenwood, and we can't thank you enough.
Have a great weekend,

Update!

We hope everyone had a great 4th of July!
This is a quick update, but we will be posting a bigger update next week. First, we want to say that it was great meeting some of our backers at the Origins Game Fair in Columbus. We hope that those of you we met enjoyed getting the chance to see our products live, there is nothing better than getting to hold an item that you've only seen in pictures. Being our first convention as vendors, we had a great time, had amazing feedback and feel energized about the future of Ravenwood.
Things have been progressing as planned and now that we are done prepping for Origins (which was built into our timeline), we are focused on fulfillment. We will start pouring boxes by early next week and we will have a new update with photos and videos of the process sometime later next week. All the materials are in house and other than new orders that come in, the KS is our sole focus. We are still very confident in our timeline and are projecting early fulfilment for all backers. I don't want to get too specific on the timeline yet as "Murphy" might decide to pay us a visit, which has also been built into our timeline 😏.
Important Update for TITAN Purchasers . . .
We do have one new option on our website that we wanted to extend to Backers who ordered TITAN boxes. We now offer the option to have the Ravenwood logo put on the side of the box (just like the SENTINEL box) instead of the top. If you would like us to do this for your TITAN(s) please message us and let us know so that we can make that note on your order. Below is a picture of a SENTINEL for reference.
Once manufacturing begins, we will start having more frequent updates.
Have a great weekend!

Slow and Steady!

Hi everyone, Jen here for a quick update on what we've been up to since the campaign ended.
We started by doing some necessary maintenance and upkeep on some of the equipment. We were able to have all of our CNC bits sharpened as well as our saw blades. We purchased a backup motor for the CNC, as they always seem to need replacing at the worst time. This sounds like an expensive purchase but in reality, it's not that big of an expense, but a huge production killer when they crap out.
We've received the pigments last week as well as the candles and the journals have also arrived.
So where are we at in production? We've decided to manufacture our own reusable molds so that we can customize the sizes and be efficient with the epoxy. Rob has all of the materials for the molds cut and will be assembling them over the next few days. The live edge wood is in house, and we will be cleaning and evaluating it over the next week. Once the wood has been cleaned and cut, it will be placed in the molds, and I will begin the resin pours while Rob works on the trays, bases, and dice jails. The epoxy takes 24 to 48 hours to completely cure before it can be removed from the molds. Once cured, the blanks will be removed from the molds, and we will begin the process again with next round of boxes.
Let us know if you have any questions. I'm hopeful at the next update I will have some video to share of pouring the epoxy. I can't wait to see all of these colors!
Have a great rest of your week!

Good Evening Backers!
Well, we're coming down to the last two days to complete your Backerkit survey. Surveys will be locked on Sunday, April 30th and cards will be charged on Monday, May 1st. Remember, you will still be able to make changes on your address up until fulfilment begins. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Some fun stats:
Backers have chosen 38 different pigment colors so far. The most popular color choice by a land slide is violet blue color shift followed by seafoam with dark green gold color shift coming up in third place. We can't wait to see how all of these boxes and dice look when completed, we'll be sure to post lots of pics.
Some exciting news for Ravenwood!
We wanted to share some exciting news. Over the last 7 months or so, we've been approached by two gaming companies that have recognized our work and have asked us to partner with them on their upcoming Kickstarters.
The first one is coming up in May, it's a strategic dueling game of arcane magic, called Sigil from Pine Island Games. We have worked with Pine Island to create custom boxes to hold their game pieces. You can sign up for notification of their launch here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pineislandgames/sigil?ref=clipboard-prelaunch
The second will launch in October. We will be creating add-ons for Vrahode: The Calteeryn Ascension created by Jeff Irving of Weathervane Games. It's a groundbreaking board game in a fresh fantasy world for 1-6 with multiple play modes and sweeping campaign by writer Shawn A. Dressler. For starters we will be designing a custom player dashboard, dice vault, tray & dice box to support this amazing new game. They have even invited us to join their booth at Origins Game Fair at the end of June. If you're in the area or happen to be going, please stop by booth #731 and say hi, we'd love to meet our supporters. You can sign up for launch notification here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/weathervanegames/vrahode-the-calteeryn-ascension?ref=clipboard-prelaunch
That's it for now, have a great weekend!
